Sub – BAD EFFECTS FACING, REGARDING TO HINDUSTAN ZINC LIMITED, RAMPURA-AGUNCHA PLANT.
Sir,
With due respect. HINDUSTAN ZINC LIMITED, RAMPURA-AGUNCHA MINES. Was a PSU when it has gone in private sector since than rules and regulation of mining and industry was polluted by HZL and public are facing so many problems from hzl Rampura Aaguncha Mines. The inhabitant has requested them so many times but they did not heed any attention to the problem. Which are following-
1- A powerful blasting is exploded near human dwellings. Dirt of zinc concentrate is settled on the villagers’ home. Food materials are also polluted. When we use food materials it goes in our body. Thus the villagers are suffering from many incurable diseases.
2- Grassland which is acquired. HZL did not make any arrangement for the cattle to graze. So the herdsmen find impossible to make arrangement of grass and hay. Thus they have lost their income of source.
3- As the mining area is spreading and going deeper, the water is rushing towards mine. So we are suffering from the decreasing water level. So there is shortage of water for drinking and irrigation. Agriculture is main income of source of this area and it had the highest production rate in agriculture in Bhilwara district but at present the production rate in agriculture is near about nil due to lacking irrigation water. The villagers have to face problems in earning their livelihood and the fertile land became barren. The quality of drinking water has been declined; so many villagers are suffering from water born disease.
4- Since 1988-89 when the plant was established the whole area has been affected by pollution. Dirt of zinc concentrate is settled on the villagers’ home. Food materials are also polluted. When we use food materials it goes in our body. Thus the villagers are suffering from many incurable diseases.
5- HINDUSTAN ZINC LIMITED, RAMPURA-AGUNCHA MINES. Was a PSU when it has gone in private sector since than rules and regulation of mining and industry was polluted by HZL and public are facing so many problems from hzl Rampura Aaguncha Mines. The mine has been expended nearest to human dwellings. A powerful blasting is exploded near human dwellings. All the houses have so many cracks due to blasting. So many times many houses collapsed at the time of blasting. It is our good luck that no casualty so far.
6- The income of source as like peasantry and herdsmanship are ruined so they are facing difficulty to earn their livelihood and HZL did not give jobs to the land losers. So please make sure to give jobs to them.
7- In project most of work is done by the private contractors. The management and the union of HZL forced them to give jobs who are favorable to them and in this process the persons who have lost their lands deprived from jobs. Please rectify the system.
We request you to investigate all these matters by an impartial agency and please did not rely on HZL’s evidence. Please make sure to rectify our problems as early as possible otherwise we will be forced to agitate a big movement and my party will take active participation in this agitation.
